Living through uncertain times and the fact that Great Britain is one of the richest countries in the world, one question I often ask myself is, why do we still have people starving and living in poverty?
Govia Thameslink Railway has set up an initiative called the railway food collection service which will be supported by the Bedford Food Bank and the Black & Minority Ethnic Community Partnership Food Bank in Brighton, to help people who are struggling though the current tough times.
Tuesday the 21st July sees the start of the scheme. It will provisionally run for 6 weeks at Brighton and Bedford railway stations between the hours of 07.00 & 13.00 hours. Thameslink are asking for donations from railway staff and members of the public to help maintain enough stock to support everybody who need help.
Anyone who’d needs help and lives in either Brighton or Bedford please check out the links below.
