Tube go slow action called off by RMT

The RMT has called off industrial action that was to start at midnight tonight after London Underground gave assurances that it will act on the noise level experienced on the Northen Jubilee central and victoria line.

The action was for drivers to implement there own temporary speed restrictions on critical parts of these lines were noise level was said to be at a dangerous level.

Mick Cash General Secretary said in a statement “The action is suspended, but the dispute remains on, and we remain vigilant as the agreed programme is rolled out”.

The agreed program is for LU to start introducing official speed restrictions from this Friday in addition to this they will also be working to reducting noise around the network.
